Being a part of something like this is crazy. Knowing that you’re witnessing history is a feeling that you can’t replicate. I think the last time I felt like this was when the Flacon 9 stage one landed successfully for the first time back in December of 2015. It was right in the middle of my senior year. I remember watching it with my dad on his computer screen and crying with happiness when it landed successfully.
It’s crazy to see how far space exploration has come in the time I’ve been alive. Now I’m watching the first commercial space flight ever and the first launch of astronauts from US soil since 2011!
From the countdown to the launch, I could fee myself getting more and more hyped. And getting to witness such a momentous occasion is just a cherry on top. I’m so proud to be a part of this time in space history.
SpaceX was once again able to land the first stage of the Falcon 9 successfully and our astronauts are off to the International Space Station (ISS). No matter how many times it happens, I’ll never get sick of watching SpaceX continue to break barriers in the Space Race.
I love that even through a pandemic science continues to develop, people continue to explore, and the human race continues to advance past adversary and trials to reach new heights.
